LAST MONTH: Gina Arconti, from Omnipod, updated us on the Omnipod 5. The Omnipod can be paired with the Libre 2 or Dexcom 6 or 7 sensors. The Libre 3 will be available in 2026. Omnipods are approved for use in water up to 60 ft for 25 minutes. Not advisable to wear in Jacuzzis and saunas due to insulin degrading due to heat. It has a food library with up to 50 items. Extended bolus is only available in the manual mode. Omnipods are available through pharmacy benefit in 50,000 pharmacies. No contracts needed so you can use it at any time. Contact Omnipod for a free replacement if your Pod falls off. Gina's contact information is on our blog's Omnipod page.

Volunteer Needed

The newsletter will not be emailed until a volunteer can take over the newsletter distribution. The newsletter will be posted on the blog, sdinsulinpumpers.blogspot.com by the 5th each month. It will include the meeting information and Zoom link. We need help managing the distribution of our monthly pump club newsletter. The new mailing list is now available. This task could be shared among more than one person. Newsletter distribution is done the first week of every month, usually by the 5th. Contact Margi with any questions margit7@att.net.
