August 12th Meeting: Open Discussion

 Hello Fellow Pumpers!

Join us, in person or via Zoom, for our Monday, August 12th meeting. You can attend either in-person or via Zoom. We also post our newsletter on our blog sdinsulinpumpers.blogspot.com.

In person. We'll hold the in-person meeting at the Sharp Spectrum Building in Kearny Mesa at 8695 Spectrum Center Drive from 7–9 pm. We'll meet in the boardroom off the main lobby. The room will open at 6:30 pm for visiting before the meeting. The main entrance is locked at 6 pm so security will buzz us in through the side door off the lobby.

Via Zoom. Please join us via Zoom if you can't attend in person. The meeting link is posted below.

As always, significant others, friends, and family supporters are welcome at the meeting.

Our meetings are held the 2nd Monday of every month.

THIS MONTH:  Open Discussion—Bring your concerns and questions!

LAST MONTH: Open discussion topics:

• Locations for infusion sets other than the abdomen include the top or side of thighs, upper arms, and upper buttocks.

• Device apps can only be used on one phone or tablet. not multiple devices. When the device is in airplane mode, make sure Bluetooth is on to keep the  T:Connect app running.

• Apple Phone updates can interfere with the Tandem app. Delete the app if you have issues with the Tandem app and reinstall. This is a great tip for all apps.

• G7 sensors need to be partnered with phone with each new sensor because the transmitter is part of the sensor.

One Conference

We will have a casual meet and greet during the Saturday afternoon break before dinner from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Look for our group outside the Paradise Point Conference area. If you are in the area or are attending the conference, please stop by to visit.

 Supplies Donation Policy

We have implemented a donation policy due to the increase in supplies being brought to the meetings. Please email Margi at margit7@att.net with a list of the items you wish to share with the group. The list must be received before the 28th of the month so it can be included in the newsletter. Interested pumpers can contact Margi to request supplies. Please include the brand, model information, and expiration date. You can bring your items to the meeting or interested pumpers can email Margi and she will pass their request on to you. Any supplies remaining at the end of the meeting must go home with you and can be included in the next month's newsletter. See below for the items we have currently available.
